TLDR Follicular unit extraction is an effective and minimally invasive treatment for male hair loss.
The study on follicular unit extraction (FUE) for treating male androgenetic alopecia involved 158 patients and demonstrated high efficacy, with over 90% of hair follicles surviving post-transplant and more than 85% of patients achieving a survival rate exceeding 95% at 12 months. Patient satisfaction was high, exceeding 98%, and the complication rate was low, under 6%. FUE is highlighted as a minimally invasive technique with high hair follicle survival and optimal hair density, making it an effective treatment for male androgenetic alopecia. The study also emphasizes the importance of personalized treatment plans and advanced techniques to enhance graft survival.
