blocks TNF-alpha to reduce inflammation in autoimmune diseases

Infliximab, also known by the brand name Remicade, is a medication that works by blocking a protein called tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha). This protein is involved in inflammatory processes in the body. By inhibiting TNF-alpha, infliximab helps reduce inflammation and is used to treat autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease, and psoriasis.
