TLDR Minoxidil foam 5% effectively treats hair loss in both frontal and vertex scalp regions.
The study investigated the effectiveness of topical minoxidil foam 5% in treating androgenetic alopecia in both the frontal and vertex scalp regions of men. The results showed that MTF induced hair growth in both regions and increased the expression of hair keratin-associated genes while decreasing the expression of epidermal differentiation complex and inflammatory genes. The study suggests that MTF is effective in treating both the frontal and vertex scalp regions of AGA patients. The study provides insight into the molecular mechanisms underlying the effectiveness of minoxidil in treating androgenetic alopecia.
