The study involved 151-154 men and found that minoxidil was effective in promoting hair growth and improving hair density in both populations, with no significant side effects observed except for one patient who developed folliculitis. The study concludes that 2% topical minoxidil solution is a safe and effective treatment for androgenetic alopecia.
