Follicular structure density and inflammation are correlated with hair regrowth, and patients with higher follicular density have a better chance of hair growth. Topical minoxidil can promote hair growth in patients with MPAA, but it may not work for those with low follicular density. Inflammation is associated with reduced hair regrowth, and anti-inflammatory treatment may be necessary for some patients.
