TLDR PRP with microneedling works better than injection for hair loss treatment.
This systematic review evaluates the effectiveness of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) administered via syringe injection versus a combination of topical PRP and microneedling for treating androgenetic alopecia (AGA). Out of 108 articles initially identified, 3 met the inclusion criteria for analysis. The findings suggest that the combination of PRP and microneedling yields superior results compared to direct syringe injection for AGA treatment. However, the review highlights the need for further high-quality studies with standardized protocols to confirm these results.
