TLDR PRP with microneedling effectively treats hair loss, and dermoscopy helps evaluate results.
This study evaluated the effectiveness of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) with microneedling in treating androgenetic alopecia (AGA) and the importance of dermoscopy in evaluating pre- and post-treatment response. The study found that PRP with microneedling was effective in treating AGA in patients who did not respond to conventional therapy, and dermoscopy was an important modality in evaluating treatment response. The study reinforces the importance of dermoscopy in aiding in the diagnosis and evaluation of AGA.
