TLDR PRP treatment improves hair count, density, and reduces hair loss in AGA patients.
This is a study on the effectiveness of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment for androgenetic alopecia (AGA) in 20 male patients. The study found that PRP treatment led to a significant increase in hair count, hair density, and improvement in trichoscopic parameters. Patients also reported less hair loss post-treatment. Dermoscopy was found to be a non-invasive, safe, and easy-to-use tool for assessing hair disorders and comparing pre- and post-treatment data. The study concluded that PRP treatment can be an effective treatment option for AGA.
