TLDR Microneedle delivery of platelet-rich plasma may be slightly better for hair regrowth than intradermal injection.
The study compares the effectiveness of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) delivered via intradermal injection versus microneedle delivery for treating androgenetic alopecia. The research involved a sample size of 120 participants, divided into two groups, each receiving one of the treatment methods. Results indicated that both methods significantly improved hair density and thickness, but the microneedle delivery group showed slightly better outcomes in terms of patient satisfaction and hair regrowth. The study concludes that while both methods are effective, microneedle delivery may offer a marginal advantage in treating androgenetic alopecia.
