TLDR Light therapy with various colors helps treat hair loss.
The systematic review and meta-analysis conducted on 36 studies involving 966 patients strongly suggested that photobiomodulation therapies using different light wavebands are effective for treating hair loss. Specifically, treatments with ultraviolet and infrared light were found to be effective for alopecia areata (AA), while therapies with red light and infrared light were effective for androgenetic alopecia (AGA). All treatments were found to be superior to control with a significance level of p < .05.
