TLDR Optimal transplant density for Chinese male hair loss patients is 35-50 hair/cm², with minimum 106.88 hair/cm² left in donor area for esthetic satisfaction.
This document is a summary of a study that investigated the optimum transplant and extraction density for Chinese male androgenetic alopecia (AGA) patients. The study found that a density of 35.00-50.00 hair/cm² (20.00-30.00 FU/cm²) is adequate for most Chinese male AGA patients, and a mean extraction density of 25.93 ± 2.75 hair/cm² and a density of 112.93 ± 11.88 hair/cm² remaining in the safe donor area (SDA) were obtained. The study also found that the minimum HFs retention in the SDA should not be less than 106.88 hair/cm² to maintain an esthetic satisfaction unless the patient prefers a long-hair style. The study concluded that the formula may act as a tool to assist the surgeon in communicating effectively and freely with patients about the effects and outcome of hair transplantation.

A person had three hair transplant surgeries using 7,600 grafts from scalp, beard, and chest, along with finasteride and minoxidil. Reactions are mixed, with suggestions for alternatives like hair systems or scalp micropigmentation.

A man lost his transplanted hair despite using minoxidil because he wasn't on a DHT blocker like finasteride, which is essential to prevent further hair loss. The conversation emphasizes that hair transplants are not a cure and require maintenance with medications to preserve results.

A study that outlines the full model for androgenic alopecia (AGA) which links DHT to cellular senescence in dermal papilla cells, and suggests black chokeberry as a source of cyanidin 3-O-arabinoside polyphenol with potential anti-oxidant properties that could reverse this process. The post encourages reaching out to experts in anti-aging and longevity to research treatments involving the polyphenol.

community Doctor told me not to take fin.

A doctor advised against taking finasteride after a hair transplant, suggesting the patient had reached their final balding pattern, but many users disagreed, recommending medications like minoxidil and finasteride to prevent further hair loss. The consensus was to seek a second opinion, as the advice seemed financially motivated rather than medically sound.
