TLDR Rambutan extract can help reverse hair loss caused by testosterone.
The study "Recovery Effects of Nephelium lappaceum var. pallens (Hiern) Leenh. Extract on Testosterone-Induced Inhibition of Hair Growth in C57BL/6 Mice and Human Follicular Dermal Papilla Cells" found that the extract of Nephelium lappaceum var. pallens, a tropical fruit, can counteract testosterone-induced hair growth inhibition. The study was conducted on C57BL/6 mice and human follicular dermal papilla cells. The extract was found to promote hair growth by increasing the size of hair follicles and the number of hair shafts. It also inhibited the production of 5α-reductase, an enzyme that converts testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone known to cause hair loss. The extract also increased the expression of growth factors that promote hair growth.
