TLDR The herbal mixture could potentially improve hair loss.
The study examined the effects of a herbal mixture (FHH-CZ) containing Chrysanthemum zawadskii, peppermint, and Glycyrrhiza glabra on hair growth in human follicle dermal papilla cells and C57BL/6 mice. The mixture was found to suppress the expression of 5α-reductase type 2 and androgen receptor in testosterone-treated cells, reduce the Bax/Bcl2 expression ratio through inhibition of Dkk-1 expression, and promote hair growth in mice. The mixture was non-toxic up to a concentration of 500 μg/mL. In an animal study involving 25 mice, the group administered with 200 mg/kg of the mixture showed significantly increased hair growth and an increased number of hair follicles. The study concluded that FHH-CZ could potentially be used as a natural material to improve hair loss.
