    Glossary Chronic Graft-Versus-Host Disease

condition where transplanted cells attack recipient's body long-term

Chronic Graft-Versus-Host Disease (cGVHD) is a condition that can occur after a stem cell or bone marrow transplant, where the donated cells (the graft) attack the recipient's body (the host). This immune response can lead to long-term complications affecting various organs, including the skin, liver, and gastrointestinal tract, and can manifest as rashes, liver dysfunction, and digestive issues.
