TLDR The FRZB gene slows hair growth in rabbits.

The study on Angora rabbits reveals that the FRZB gene inhibits hair follicle development by regulating the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. Overexpression of FRZB in rabbit dermal papilla cells suppresses SFRP2, BMP4, and WNT2 genes while increasing LEF1, CCND1, DKK1, and TCF7 genes. The luciferase reporter system confirmed that FRZB reduces Wnt activity, leading to increased apoptosis and decreased cell proliferation in dermal papilla cells.
