TLDR The hydrogel effectively heals diabetic wounds, closing over 90% within 7 days.
The study presents a novel photo-cross-linked Flammulina velutipes polysaccharide hydrogel loaded with caffeic acid-copper nanozyme (FVP@CCN) for diabetic wound healing. This hydrogel exhibits rapid degradability, tunable mechanical properties, and significant antimicrobial activity. The incorporated nanozyme enhances photothermal-induced antimicrobial ability, ROS scavenging, and angiogenesis promotion. In vivo studies demonstrated that FVP@CCN effectively addresses multiple healing impairments in diabetic wounds, achieving over 90% wound closure within 7 days. The hydrogel also promotes hemostasis, sustainable antibacterial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory effects, cell proliferation, and hair follicle regeneration, indicating its significant potential for diabetic wound treatment.
