TLDR Injectable platelet-rich fibrin effectively improves hair density and scalp symptoms in androgenetic alopecia.
This study evaluated the short-term efficacy and safety of injectable platelet-rich fibrin (i-PRF) in treating androgenetic alopecia (AGA) in 30 patients who had not responded well to conventional treatments. Over six months, participants received monthly i-PRF injections, and the results showed an 80% response rate with significant improvements in hair density, scalp symptoms, and overall patient satisfaction. The study concluded that i-PRF is an effective treatment for enhancing hair density and alleviating scalp symptoms in AGA patients, with minimal adverse reactions, presenting a promising new treatment option for AGA.
