TLDR Scaffold improves hair growth potential.
A scaffold made of silk fibroin and sodium alginate has shown potential for enhancing hair follicle regeneration by maintaining the ability of dermal follicle cells to induce hair growth. The scaffold has been found to be effective in promoting cell growth, proliferation, and differentiation, and can restore hair-inducing ability. The study suggests that the scaffold has potential for use in hair loss treatment.
