TLDR Exosome therapies could help with skin and hair issues, but more testing is needed.
Exosome-based therapies show promise in aesthetic and regenerative medicine, particularly in wound healing, skin rejuvenation, pigmentation regulation, and hair growth. They facilitate cellular communication, collagen synthesis, and inflammation modulation, with encouraging outcomes in preclinical and limited clinical studies. However, challenges such as standardization of exosome production, purity, and regulatory hurdles must be addressed for widespread clinical use. While animal models and limited human trials suggest potential benefits, rigorous clinical trials are needed to confirm efficacy and safety.
