TLDR QR 678 and QR678 Neo treatments are effective for hair loss in women with PCOS.
The study assessed the effectiveness of QR 678 and QR678 Neo hair growth factor formulations on 20 female patients aged 25-50 with PCOS suffering from female pattern alopecia. The treatment involved 1.5 ml injections into the scalp across eight sessions at three-week intervals. Results indicated significant improvements in hair growth, with a reduction in vellus hairs and an increase in terminal hairs, as well as hair shaft diameter. Patients reported high satisfaction with minimal side effects. Despite the small sample size, the study concluded that these formulations are effective and well-tolerated treatments for hair loss in PCOS patients. Further research with larger cohorts is recommended. The study's authors have patents for the formulation and contributed to various aspects of the research without financial conflicts of interest.
