TLDR Pimpinella anisum L. extract significantly boosts hair growth in mice.
The study investigated the effects of hydro-alcoholic extract of Pimpinella anisum L. on hair growth in mice. Different dosages (2%, 5%, 10%, and 20%) were applied to the dorsal area of the mice, and hair growth was assessed on the 10th and 30th days. The results showed significant hair growth in all experimental groups compared to the control group (p<0.001), with the 10% and 20% doses showing effects similar to Minoxidil. The positive effect on hair growth was attributed to the phytoestrogens present in the plant.
