TLDR Clove leaf extract in hair tonic boosts rabbit hair growth.
The study investigated the formulation and effectiveness of a hair tonic containing ethanol extract of clove leaves (Syzygium aromaticum) on rabbit hair growth. The tonic was tested in concentrations of 5%, 10%, and 15%, and its stability was confirmed under high temperatures (40±2 °C) with consistent odor, color, clarity, and pH. The effectiveness test showed that after 21 days, the hair growth in rabbits treated with the clove leaf extract was significantly greater than in the control groups, with measurements of 4.00±0.06 mm, 4.80±0.06 mm, and 5.46±0.08 mm for the 5%, 10%, and 15% concentrations, respectively. The study concluded that clove ethanol extract in hair tonics could enhance hair growth in rabbits.
