The consensus document on the clinical management of frontal fibrosing alopecia (FFA) highlights the increasing incidence of this scarring alopecia and the challenges it presents due to limited approved treatments. Developed through a Delphi methodology with 22 dermatologists from the Spanish working group on trichology and onychology of the AEDV, the document recommends a multimodal therapy approach. This includes starting with oral dutasteride and adding topical and/or intralesional agents. If inflammation continues, hydroxychloroquine should be incorporated into the treatment plan, as hair loss in FFA is irreversible.
