TLDR Bioengineered microneedles and nanomedicine offer promising, precise treatments for tissue regeneration.
Bioengineered microneedles (MNs) combined with nanomedicine offer a promising platform for tissue regeneration, addressing challenges in chronic wounds, organ damage, and degenerative diseases. MNs, made from materials like polymers and metals, can deliver drugs directly to target sites with precision and minimal invasiveness. Innovations such as dissolving and hollow structures enhance controlled drug delivery, while nanomedicine integration allows for targeted and responsive drug release. Applications include skin regeneration, cardiovascular repair, and neural regeneration, with potential to revolutionize regenerative medicine through personalized treatments. Despite challenges in scalability and biocompatibility, advancements in biomaterials and biofabrication suggest a promising future for MNs in precision regenerative medicine.
