TLDR Purple sweet potato leaf extracts can help treat hair loss and fungal infections.
The study found that a fraction derived from purple sweet potato leaves (Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lamk) has significant antifungal properties and promotes hair growth by inhibiting the androgen receptor. Molecular docking and dynamics simulations supported this inhibitory effect, suggesting that the purple sweet potato leaf fraction could be a potential natural treatment for hair loss and fungal infections.
