This study analyzed gene expression in the skin lesions of 7 dogs with pemphigus foliaceus (PF) compared to 5 healthy controls, identifying 420 differentially expressed genes (338 upregulated, 82 downregulated). Key findings include elevated pro-inflammatory and Th17 markers, significant upregulation of Th1, Th2, and Th22 markers, and increased abundance of immune cells such as CD45 cells, NK/CD56dim cells, T-cells, neutrophils, dendritic cells, and CD8 T cells in PF lesions.
