Oral finasteride 5 mg in women was ranked highest for increasing hair density in female pattern hair loss. Autologous follicle stem cell injections thickened hair, working best on hairs thinner than 60 µm. FUE megasession in Asian men gave natural-looking density in advanced pattern loss. Parallelogram strip incisions yielded more follicular units than fusiform incisions. Hole recipient site technique created transplant sites faster than the slit technique. Dutasteride measured in hair lowered dihydrotestosterone more than finasteride. PRP plus hyaluronic acid raised hair density in women with pattern loss. Baricitinib in severe alopecia areata was found generally well tolerated, with infections the most common adverse events, though longer-term data are still needed.
