    Megestrol Acetate, also known as Megace, is a synthetic progestin used primarily to treat loss of appetite and severe weight loss in patients with cancer or AIDS. It can also be used in the treatment of certain hormone-responsive cancers, such as breast and endometrial cancer, by interfering with hormone activity.
