TLDR Diane 35 plus finasteride is more effective in reducing hair growth and androgen levels, but may decrease libido.
A study compared the effectiveness of Diane 35 alone and Diane 35 plus finasteride in treating hirsutism in women. The combination therapy was found to be more effective in reducing hirsutism and improving hormonal parameters. The study involved 50 women with idiopathic hirsutism or polycystic ovary syndrome. The addition of finasteride resulted in a reduction in hirsutism score and androgen plasma levels. However, the combination treatment also caused a more significant reduction in libido. Overall, the combination of both drugs may be more effective in reducing hair growth and androgen levels in hirsute women than Diane 35 alone.
