    Androgens are a group of sex hormones, including testosterone, that play a crucial role in male traits and reproductive activity. They are responsible for the development of male characteristics such as facial hair, deepening of the voice, and muscle growth, but are also present in females in smaller amounts, influencing hair growth and libido.
