    Atopic Eruption of Pregnancy (AEP) is a common skin condition that occurs during pregnancy, characterized by itchy, red, and inflamed patches of skin. It encompasses several related conditions, including eczema in pregnancy, prurigo of pregnancy, and pruritic folliculitis of pregnancy. AEP typically appears in the first or second trimester and is thought to be related to changes in the immune system during pregnancy. Treatment often involves topical steroids and moisturizers to manage symptoms.
