TLDR Zingiber coralliaum oil promotes early hair growth in mice.
The study investigated the effects of Zingiber coralliaum oil on hair growth in C3H/He mice. Topical application of the oil induced premature anagen (hair growth phase) in the mice's skin. By day 19, all mice treated with 2.0% Zingiber coralliaum oil and those treated with 0.5% exhibited premature skin darkening and hair growth at the application site, while less than one-third of control animals showed signs of anagen development. Histological analysis confirmed mature anagen VI hair follicles at treatment sites, suggesting that Zingiber coralliaum oil could be a novel therapeutic strategy for managing hair growth disorders.
