TLDR CBD might help with skin issues, but more research is needed.
Cannabidiol (CBD) shows promising potential for treating skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, and dermatitis due to its anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and possible anti-pruritic effects. Preclinical studies indicate benefits like reduced inflammation and increased skin hydration, but clinical trials are limited and show mixed results, with some indicating no significant improvement over placebo. CBD's effects on hair growth are concentration-dependent, promoting growth at low concentrations and inhibiting it at higher ones. The evidence is mostly preliminary, highlighting the need for more extensive and rigorous clinical trials to confirm CBD's efficacy and safety, particularly in hair regrowth and other skin conditions.
