TLDR Biotin and silica from plants improve hair, skin, and nail health.
This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study with 105 participants evaluated the effects of Sesbania grandiflora-derived biotin and Bambusa arundinacea-derived silica on hair, skin, and nail health over 90 days. Results indicated that both biotin and the biotin-silica combination significantly reduced hair fall, increased hair growth rate, and improved nail texture and skin elasticity compared to placebo. The biotin-silica combination showed superior results, enhancing hair volume, shine, and thickness, as well as skin hydration and elasticity. The study suggests that the synergistic effects of biotin and silica make this plant-based supplement a promising option for improving dermatological health without adverse events.
