TLDR SEFFI is a safe and effective anti-aging treatment with few complications.
The study on Guided Superficial Enhanced Fluid Fat Injection (SEFFI) for facial rejuvenation, involving 2,365 procedures, concludes that SEFFI is a safe and effective minimally invasive technique with a low complication rate. The most common complication was ecchymosis at donor and injection sites. SEFFI, which uses autologous adipose tissue grafting, was performed alone in over 60% of cases and combined with other treatments like botulin toxin and hyaluronic acid in others. It effectively addresses facial aging factors such as volume loss and skin aging, enhancing skin quality and promoting collagen production. The malar-zygomatic area was the most commonly treated site. The study highlights SEFFI's potential as a promising anti-aging treatment option due to its effectiveness, safety, and simplicity.
