TLDR PRP injections may help with hair loss, but more research is needed.
This systematic review analyzed 7 scientific studies on the use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections as a treatment for androgenetic alopecia in both men and women, with a minimum follow-up of 6 months. The review found that all studies reported a favorable effect of PRP treatment on hair loss. However, it concluded that a larger and more rigorous study with objective analysis is necessary to confirm the therapeutic effects of PRP for androgenetic alopecia.
