TLDR The combined stem cell secretome in the skin care product effectively reduces inflammation and promotes tissue regeneration.
The study conducted a proteomic analysis of the secretome from two stem cell types used in a topical skin care product, demonstrating efficacy in a double-blinded, randomized, vehicle-controlled clinical trial. The analysis focused on the complete secretome, which is more beneficial for reducing inflammation and promoting tissue regeneration than its individual components. The study found significant differences in the protein types between adipose mesenchymal stem cells and fibroblasts, highlighting their distinct mechanisms of action. The combined secretome offers at least 16 major therapeutic pathways with hundreds of signaling mechanisms, providing numerous benefits for various skin conditions when applied topically.
