Exploring the Dermatological Applications of Human Mesenchymal Stem Cell Secretome: A Comprehensive Review

This comprehensive review highlights the promising dermatological applications of mesenchymal stem cell-conditioned medium (MSC-CM), which is rich in growth factors and cytokines. The review, based on 16 studies, found that MSC-CM significantly improves scars, promotes wound healing, stimulates hair growth, and rejuvenates the skin. Specifically, 3 studies focused on hair growth, all reporting favorable outcomes. Combining MSC-CM with treatments like laser therapy and microneedling can enhance therapeutic effects, suggesting its potential as an effective alternative to traditional stem cell therapy in dermatological care. However, further research is needed to standardize treatment protocols and fully understand its mechanisms.
