The study explores the effects of a yeast-fermented solution made from Platycladus orientalis leaves on human dermal papilla cells (HDPCs), which are vital for hair growth. The research shows that the fermented solution significantly enhances HDPC proliferation, with a 152.45% increase at 2.5 mg/mL, and modulates key signaling pathways, including upregulation of VEGF and downregulation of TGF-β1 and IL-6. These changes suggest improved hair follicle cell proliferation and reduced inflammation, comparable to traditional treatments like minoxidil.
