Nonablative Er:YAG Laser Treatment of Androgenetic Alopecia: A Clinical Observation

    This study evaluated the effectiveness and safety of nonablative 2940 nm Er:YAG laser treatment for androgenetic alopecia (AGA) in 32 patients (22 male, 10 female) with varying stages of AGA. The treatment involved six biweekly sessions, and results showed a median clinical improvement score of 6 out of 10, with 63% of patients showing better hair appearance and 9% showing much better appearance at a 1-month follow-up. Patient satisfaction was high, with a median score of 3 out of 3, and the median pain score was 3 out of 10. No adverse reactions were reported, supporting the treatment's effectiveness and safety for AGA.
