TLDR Injectable platelet-rich fibrin helps hair growth by boosting key cell functions.
The study concludes that injectable platelet-rich fibrin (i-PRF) is a promising autologous regenerative tool for hair growth, significantly enhancing human dermal papilla cell (hDPC) proliferation, migration, and trichogenic inductivity. Prepared from the blood of 8 healthy volunteers, i-PRF demonstrated excellent cell viability and influenced hDPCs in a dose-dependent manner, with 20% concentration being optimal for upregulating key genes and enhancing cell function. The research highlights i-PRF's potential as an ideal biomaterial for hair follicle regeneration, though further animal and clinical studies are needed to confirm its efficacy.
