Hair Growth Promotion by Extracts of Inula Helenium and Caesalpinia Sappan Bark in Patients with Androgenetic Alopecia: A Pre-Clinical Study Using Phototrichogram Analysis

    The study evaluated the efficacy of a scalp shampoo containing extracts of Inula Helenium and Caesalpinia Sappan Bark in promoting hair growth and preventing hair loss in patients with androgenetic alopecia. The study found a statistically significant increase in the total hair count in the test group after 16 and 24 weeks of using the scalp shampoo as compared to the control subjects. The study suggests that the hair shampoo formulations containing IH and CS extracts are effective for treating patients with androgenetic alopecia.
