The study investigated the synthesis and therapeutic effects of zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) and magnesium-doped ZnO NPs using Ferulago angulata plant extract for treating second-degree burn wounds. The nanoparticles were characterized and tested for antioxidant, cytotoxic, antibacterial, and antifungal properties. The results showed that a 0.1% concentration of Mg-doped ZnO NPs was most effective, promoting complete wound healing and improved skin condition after 21 days, including increased hair follicle formation and presence of sebaceous glands, indicating enhanced healing and skin regeneration.
