TLDR Exosome therapies improve skin and hair rejuvenation effectively.
This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluated 39 human clinical trials on exosome-based therapies in aesthetic medicine, focusing on skin rejuvenation and hair restoration. The results showed significant improvements, with facial wrinkle reduction averaging 20.2% and skin-related outcomes improving by 14.7% to 23.4%. Hair density and thickness increased by 23.6% and 18.0%, respectively. Exosome therapies demonstrated efficacy in enhancing skin pigmentation, elasticity, texture, and reducing erythema. Despite challenges like heterogeneity and nonstandardized protocols, the findings suggest that exosome therapies offer meaningful improvements in aesthetic outcomes, supporting further research in this area.
