Exosome-based therapies show promise in aesthetic medicine for skin and hair rejuvenation, as evidenced by a systematic review and meta-analysis of 39 human clinical trials. The studies demonstrated significant improvements, with facial wrinkle reduction averaging 20.2% and enhancements in skin pigmentation, elasticity, texture, and overall appearance ranging from 14.7% to 23.4%. Hair density and thickness increased by 23.6% and 18.0%, respectively. Despite some limitations due to heterogeneity and nonstandardized protocols, the findings suggest that exosome therapies offer consistent and meaningful improvements, warranting further research in this field.
