TLDR The topical solution increased hair count but wasn't significantly better than placebo in other measures.
The study investigated the efficacy of a new topical solution, cytopurine/pentadecanoic glyceride, for treating androgenetic alopecia (AGA) in a 16-week, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial involving 95 participants (74 men and 21 women). The treatment showed significant improvement in total hair count and daily shed hair count compared to baseline. However, there were no statistically significant differences between the treatment and placebo groups in anagen hair count, mean hair diameter, or subjective assessments of clinical improvement. The study confirmed the efficacy of the topical solution through objective phototrichogram assessments, although subjective measures and side effects did not differ significantly from the placebo.
