TLDR Topical botanical lotion increases hair density and improves quality of life in women with hair loss.
The study evaluated the efficacy and safety of a topical botanical lotion in treating female androgenetic alopecia (AGA). Forty women with AGA were randomized to apply the active lotion or placebo, twice daily for 24 weeks. The clinical evaluation demonstrated an increased hair density in the intervention group, and the self-assessment score increased from 4.5 to 6.0 (24 weeks), and the DLQI improved from 4 to 3 in the intervention group. The new topical botanical lotion showed remarkable efficacy, with a high degree of patient satisfaction and improvement of their quality of life. The study suggests that the lotion may be a promising treatment option for female AGA.
