TLDR Using Minoxidil 5% foam with a botanical hair solution twice daily can significantly improve hair growth and appearance in men with hair loss, and is generally well-tolerated.
In a 2016 study involving 56 men with mild to moderate Androgenic Alopecia (AGA), a twice-daily regimen of 5% minoxidil foam combined with a botanical hair solution was evaluated over 12 weeks. The results indicated significant improvement in scalp hair coverage and overall treatment benefit as early as 4 weeks, according to investigator ratings. Subjects also reported significant improvements in hair growth and appearance within the same timeframe. The treatment was well-tolerated and subjects expressed a high degree of satisfaction. This suggests that this combination treatment could be an effective option for AGA, potentially promoting patient adherence to long-term treatment due to the high level of patient satisfaction.
