TLDR 675 nm laser therapy effectively improves hair growth in Indian patients with androgenetic alopecia.
The study evaluated the efficacy of 675 nm wavelength laser therapy for treating androgenetic alopecia (AGA) in 20 Indian patients aged 23 to 57 years. Patients underwent 14 laser sessions over 4 months. Results showed significant improvements in hair count, hair density, and hair thickness, with a 17% increase in general hair parameters and a 13.91% increase in mean hair thickness. Terminal and vellus hair counts and densities also significantly increased by approximately 17%. The findings suggest that 675 nm laser therapy effectively improves AGA by enhancing the anagen phase and overall hair parameters.
