TLDR Red laser therapy helped regrow hair in an alopecia areata patient within 21 days.
Photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) using a continuous wave red laser (660 nm) was applied as monotherapy to a patient with alopecia areata (AA), resulting in significant hair regrowth within 7 days and complete resolution of the patient's aesthetic concern by the 21st day. This case suggests that PBMT could be a promising treatment for AA, though further studies are needed to confirm its efficacy.
