TLDR Low doses of Coffea arabica seed extract prevent prostate growth and lower uric acid and PSA levels.
The study aimed to determine the effect of hydroethanolic extract of Coffea arabica L. seeds on prostatic hyperplasia in 30 male Mus musculus var. swiss mice. The mice were divided into 5 groups and treated with different substances, including the extract at doses of 60 and 200 mg/kg. The results showed that the 60 mg/kg dose of the extract and finasteride significantly reduced the prostatic index, while the 200 mg/kg dose increased it. Both doses of the extract also significantly reduced uric acid and PSA levels. The study concluded that low doses of the extract prevent prostatic growth and reduce uric acid and PSA levels.
